The more stable the die the better the extrusion process. With shrink ring technology the die is reinforced with a solid ring so that high loads are possible. Very ideal for extruding wide profiles. Adex Shrink ring technology is strongly used in combination with the Adex spreading technology.

Adex Specials for complex profiles

Adex Specials are used especially for complex issues and profiles which need extra attention. We accept the challenge. We are able to combine therefore mentioned techniques in an innovative way, but also a unique design is possible. The Adex Specials are being used at the extrusion of:
- heat sinks
- profiles with thin wall thicknesses
- "hard alloy" profiles
- cross over design
- double core design
Adex Specials are custom made designs in the range of 70 mm until 1100 mm. Because of our technologies our die will lead to cost reduction in your production process.

Spreading technology enhances your press capabilities

Spreading technology enabling the extrusion of profiles larger than the container size of the press. The only limitation is the size of the press opening.
Advantages of spreading technology:
- Enhancement of press capability. If the profile fits the press opening, Adex can develop and manufacture the die
- Spreading is integral in the die, which minimalizes the total die height and therefore reduces back end scrap

Before we start about the design and production of a die we need to take you one step back. Because the dies we produce are based on the blueprints from our clients. When we receive a blueprint from a client, we start drawing to see what the possibilities are. The following factors do we take into account:

- Size of the press opening
- The steel grade
- What die sizes are available

Adex commisions a new 5-axes Heller
Adex is specialised in manufacturing complex dies. The need for complex dies are increasing yearly at Adex.
The market experiences the benefits and this results in a significant increase in orders, especially spreading dies. Increase in production capacity was clearly needed.
In January Adex installed and commissioned a brand new Heller FP8000, with this state of the art machining centre Adex is able to manufacture dies with the highest quality requirements.
